What to work on

  1. Switch to the build top Windwalkers use on Ula'tek.
    • Every top-50 Windwalker runs Conduit of the Celestials; you ran Shado-Pan.
    • All of them take Crane Vortex, and you don't. Spinning Crane Kick is 36% of their damage and 14% of yours.
    • This fight has a lot of adds and eggs to cleave. Copy a top build from the Talents section.
  2. Die less in the middle of pulls.
    • You died early on 8 of 13 pulls: Blight Vein twice, Melee twice, Caustic Waves, Virulent Spit and others.
    • Blight Vein hits the raid each time a tether snaps, so use a defensive when pairs break.
    • Two Melee deaths mean the boss or an add turned on you. Stay behind it.
  3. Use Whirling Dragon Punch every time it comes back.
    • It was ready more often than you pressed it in Stages 1 and 2 and the intermission.
    • Your first one was at 0:18. Open with it as soon as it's available.
  4. Your Zenith timing on the Heart was good.
    • Zenith went out at 2:09 and 4:45, lined up with both Venomous Heart windows, with your potion in the first.

Deep dive into each phase

What each phase asks of you, with your numbers

Stage 1 Stage One: Fury of the Serpent Mother

Collect eggs and break them in the Spectral Coils soaks (two teams on Heroic). Dodge Caustic Waves, which come from the side of the wing Ula'tek pulls back and spawn a deadly Viper if they hit an egg carrier. After two cycles, Rage of the Shackled exposes the Venomous Heart, which takes 100% more damage for 20 seconds.

Your fight
  • 221k DPS, 53% of the top median (421k).
  • Cooldowns: Zenith 4 / 3.0 · Whirling Dragon Punch 5 / 5.9 · Potion of Recklessness 1 / 1.0 (you / top avg)
  • Whirling Dragon Punch was ready on the pull, but your first one went out at 0:18. Open with it.

  • Early deaths in this stage: Caustic Waves on pull 3.

Your fight
  • 275k DPS, 68% of the top median (405k).

  • Took Deadly Venom: 490k damage. Top players take far less of it.
  • Early deaths in this stage: Blight Vein on pulls 5, 9; Virulent Spit on pull 7; Melee on pulls 8, 10.
